Brownstown 1964 Championship SeasonBrownstown 1964 Championship Season
September 6, 2004 - VCI produced, directed and wrote this two hour TV special, hosted by Steve Sabol and Roy Firestone, commemorating the Cleveland Browns 1964 title game win against the Baltimore Colts, 27-0, on December 27, 1964. Every living member of the Cleveland Browns was on stage at Cleveland's historic Severance Hall, home of the Cleveland Orchestra. The Cleveland Pops Orchestra performed the music of NFL Films, and various video clips were aired on a 50 ft giant screen. VCI also created and designed the 1964 championship team trophy, which was unveiled by NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue. Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner and Cleveland Browns President John Collins commissioned the show for the city of Cleveland.

A Houston SaluteSUPER BOWL XXXVIII - A Houston Salute
This will be the first-ever opening ceremony celebration. Jim Nantz, along with honorary chairman, President H.W. Bush and Houston's sports legends will welcome the NFL and the two Super Bowl teams to Houston. To add to the grandeur of the evening, internationally acclaimed musician and composer Yanni will perform selections in a multimedia tribute to the NFL, the teams and sports legends.

Proceeds from "A Houston Salute" will help the Houston Super Bowl Committee establish a Youth Education Town (YET). The YET Center will serve underprivileged and at-risk youth.

PBS VIRTUAL PLEDGEPBS VIRTUAL PLEDGE
VCI has been hired by PBS to produce and direct all their national virtual pledge breaks for 2003, it was announced by Gustavo Sagastume, vice president of pledge programming. "We want to create a national look for our pledge breaks and be more reactive to the live situation. George Veras has had extensive experience with PBS for a decade in producing and directing outstanding quality pledge shows and his studio experience at CBS well suits him for this exciting challenge". VCI will pre-produce all elements for pledge break, including behind the scenes shoots. Shows to date include: The American Tenors, Soul Comes Home, Sissell, Chicago, Carole King, Mariachi and A Song of Faith, The Three Cantors, which debuted on September 22nd.



2003 ELLIS ISLEAND AWARDS SHOW2006 ELLIS ISLAND AWARDS SHOW
They came from all over the world and they, their sons, daughters and grandchildren have made it in America. VCI has proudly produced and directed this live event of the Medal Honorees at Ellis Island since 2001 for the live IMAG show and for the DVD. Among those honorees are Martin Sorcese, Mary Lou Retton, Denis Leary, Judge James Gallas, Michael Bolton and Mike Wallace.



LIVE BIRTHS on DISCOVERY HEALTHBIRTHDAY LIVE on DISCOVERY HEALTH
The National Television Academy has nominated BIRTHDAY LIVE in the category of Outstanding Special Class Directing for the 31st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards (Directors David Stern, George Veras and Lynn Hermstad). The awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast during the 2003 calendar year.

The Discovery Health Channel's Birthday Live show gave DHC some of its highest rated primetime hours in its history. For the second year in a row, Discovery Health Channel broadcasted Live for ten straight hours at hospitals around the country. The program provided an intimate and rare look at birth while getting to know the moms and dads as well as their doctors and nurses, live and unedited. The program was a technical miracle itself, employing over 200 people utilizing over 50 cameras and 150 microphones in order to deliver 32 healthy babies on air.

VCI directed the show in its initial year and produced last year's Baton Rouge venue and will produce this year's Silver Springs, Maryland venue. Mark Poertner is the Executive Producer for DISCOVERY, David Stern is the Coordinating Producer and Director.

On Saturday, January 18 at 9PM ET/PT, TLC's TRADING SPACES hit the jackpot with its Vegas: Live Reveal episode. TLC's hit sensation and top-rated program TRADING SPACES made its debut appearance in the Entertainment Capital of the World with a 'live reveal' of the last 10 minutes of the episode during prime time. VCI directed the segment. and packaged the entire live event, including all satellite uplinks and television crew This show was seen by eight million viewers, one of 2003 highest rated cable TV shows
