MGD AND ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM TEAM UP TO CHAMPION MUSICAL ARTISTRY

Rock Hall Artist Interview Series to Hit the Road via Miller Genuine Draft's New "Craft"

MILWAUKEE (March 9, 2007) - Miller Genuine Draft and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum announced today a new alliance between the two organizations. The partnership includes a collaboration to produce a Rock Hall DVD, will also be available on the web, through a new MGD program called "The Craft," where musical artists sit down for an in depth one on one interview and a moderated live performance. There will be twelve shows in 2007-08, the first one to be filmed in April in Las Vegas

"The Craft," will focuses on the passion and creative process that contributes to the creation of truly memorable music. Building on the "Hall of Fame" and "Legends" interview series that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has produced over the past 11 years, the Rock Hall will team with MGD to present through "the Craft" events that feature a one on one interview with the artist, hosted by Warren Zanes of the Rock Hall of Fame, with a moderated live performance intended to give fans a deeper understanding of the artist's work. Offering a rare intimate look into the creative process, these programs aim to celebrate those musicians who are setting the standard for great writing, recording and performance.

The Rock Hall has hired VCI as the production company, working with TVLD for lighting and audio, Scenic Design for the set design and Classic Video in Cleveland for the Post Production. "We think that this is a great concept and we are pleased that the Rock Hall has trusted VCI to ensure that the video productions meets the expectations of the Rock Hall of Fame, Miller and the artist" said executive producer George Veras.

"This is an ideal partnership for the Rock Hall," said Warren Zanes of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "Because Miller Genuine Draft recognizes and supports our mission of preserving and advancing music as an art form, one known not only for shaking up the world, but also for changing it. Miller programs have been based on a firm knowledge that music is what we all use to define who we are. Our interview series has been a great success in Cleveland. We've seen some once-in-a-lifetime moments, just talking with artists from Aretha Franklin and Ray Davies to Robbie Robertson and Billy Joel. To be able to take it on the road furthers our objective of expanding our reach and giving music fans a greater appreciation for the music they love."

Zanes, a former member of The Del Fuegos and noted music scholar, will moderate the interviews. In addition to his work in the 1980s with The Del Fuegos, Zanes has released two solo CDs entitled Memory Girls and People That I'm Wrong For. He has written for Rolling Stone, The Los Angeles Times, The Oxford American and several other publications. His book, "Dusty in Memphis," was published by Continuum Books in 2003, and he continues to teach about American popular music at several universities.

The Rock Hall's first event under MGD's "Craft" umbrella will be held April 17 in Las Vegas, featuring a yet-to-be named artist and will be followed by events throughout the year in markets such as Chicago, Denver, Seattle and San Diego. MGD and the Rock Hall will collaborate on 12 "Craft" events in six markets this year. MGD also plans to launch other "Craft" events throughout the year to further celebrate the significant role that music plays in our society.

"Through 'The Craft,' MGD will advocate for music as the powerful and moving art form it is intended as, making music even better for those who love it," said Randy Ransom, Miller's chief marketing officer. "And no beer brand is more suited for this mission. Because just as the craft that goes into genuine musical artistry makes the end product even more enjoyable, the craft that goes into making Miller Genuine Draft results in a fresher, smoother beer. That's what being cold-filtered four times does for MGD."

MGD will support the Craft program, along with the Rock Hall's interview series with television, print, radio and online advertising, in addition to retail promotional materials. To promote "The Craft," MGD will provide legal-drinking-age consumers with a code for 40 free song downloads from emusic.com in specially-marked 12-packs of Miller Genuine Draft.
